Terms of Use

By using aperturedeck.com or research.aperturedeck.com (together, “the site”), you agree to these terms.

About the research

Aperture is a research platform for validating a curated library of projective images used in leadership development and group relations practice. Participation in the research is voluntary. Your responses contribute to the methodology behind the final Aperture product.

The research sessions take approximately 10–15 minutes. You will be shown a small set of images and asked three questions about each. There are no right answers.

Voluntary participation

You can decline to participate, skip any image with the “I’ve seen this one” option, or close the session at any time. If you close before submitting a response, no response is recorded for that image.

You may withdraw your consent after the fact by contacting us. Withdrawal stops future processing; it does not undo processing that has already occurred. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Your responses

Your responses are contributed for research use. By submitting them, you grant Aperture a non-exclusive license to use them for:

Aggregated analysis does not identify you. If an individual response is ever quoted, it is quoted without any identifier attached.

You retain any other rights you have in your responses. You are not giving up ownership; you are granting us limited use.

The images

The images on this site are in the public domain or licensed under Creative Commons. Attribution for each image appears on the Credits page at research.aperturedeck.com/credits. You may not reproduce or redistribute the images outside this research session. The Aperture curation, selection, and arrangement is proprietary to Bricolas LLC.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is.” We make reasonable efforts to keep it operating and secure, but we do not warrant that it will always be available, bug-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bricolas LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our maximum aggregate liability is the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months or (b) $100.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post a notice on the landing page for 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in California.
